Milton Keynes & Border Counties Youth Football League

Awards

The League make a number of important awards which are presented annually at the League AGM. These Awards are:

·         Presidents Award: chosen by the League's President, this award gives recognition to an individual or group of people who have been nominated by their Club for special services to their Club.

·         Club Secretary of the Year: chosen by the League's Management Committee from their experiences during the course of the season.

·         Referees of the Season: this award is based on the Referee marks given by team managers throughout the season. Three awards are given; one each to the top Referee from morning and afternoon matches and the top Young Referee (under the age of 16 at the commencement of the season).

·         Managers of the Year: points are calculated based on a formula that uses divisional performance, fair play and goal difference thus rewarding teams who are successful whilst playing the game in a sporting manner and who do not set out to humiliate their opposition. The points are then used to rank team managers within each age group and the team manager with the most points is awarded the Manager of the Year for their respective age group.

·         Overall Manager of the Year: awarded to the age group Manager of the Year who had the overall highest points score across all age groups.
